We understand what exists
to give form to what is not there yet
BIOMA can join as consultant, designer or guide to delivery. The role changes with the commission, while the relationship between people, living systems, identity, resources and performance remains central.
Architectural design
We develop new buildings, renovations, interiors and landscapes around needs, constraints and budget. Deliverables range from concepts and scenarios to the agreed design drawings, coordinating layouts, light, materials, planting, project stages and responsibilities.
Design direction and delivery
We review samples, details and changes as the design becomes built space. Artistic direction, site oversight, coordination of specialists and suppliers, handover and care planning depend on the agreed appointment and explicitly assigned responsibilities.

BIOMA QuickScan — Habitat Audit, Sprint, Complete, Care and Performance address different needs. We discuss the appropriate scope after understanding the place, project maturity and responsibilities required. Each proposal specifies the deliverables and exclusions.
QuickScan
For an existing space or a project in progress when you need priorities before committing further resources. The concise Habitat Audit report identifies three strengths, three concerns, three priorities, an A–D outcome and a next step. It is an initial assessment, not a complete design or technical feasibility study.
Sprint
For a defined issue that needs a standalone design direction. You receive a BIOMA LOCUS reading of the place, a concept, progressive scenarios, an order of intervention and an indicative cost framework to support decisions or guide your team.
Complete
For an integrated transformation with continuity from brief to delivery. The agreed scope covers baseline, brief, developed design, technical documents, procurement support, site oversight where appointed, handover and a verification protocol.
Care
For completed spaces that need planned observation and care. The annual programme sets a shared calendar, visits at an agreed frequency, a record of actions and deviations, and a final report to inform renewal. Maintenance responsibilities are defined in the appointment.
Performance
For projects with measurable objectives, an agreed method and sufficient data. An indicator protocol, four quarterly reviews, corrective actions and an annual performance report connect the baseline to observed results. Forecasts are kept distinct from verified outcomes.

Arriving, finding your way, sharing a meal, retreating to a quiet room. We design these moments alongside the work of the people who run the space. Architecture, interior design and landscape develop from a shared understanding of the place, the business identity and its operational needs.
Gardens, terraces and outdoor dining areas are part of the same project. Shade, paths, planting and indoor–outdoor connections help shape places to pause and gather. We consider exposure, water, soil and planting care alongside seasonal use and site constraints.
Sustainable architecture translates into choices to assess: reuse of existing buildings, durable and repairable materials, and resource management. Biophilic design guides the relationship with light and nature; regenerative intentions inform objectives for soil, water and biodiversity to be checked over time.
From refreshing one room to transforming a property, we agree stages, an indicative budget and interventions that take business operations into account. Deliverables, checks, permission applications and specialist input are defined in the appointment. Hotels and boutique hotels
Design and renovation of guest rooms, reception areas and shared spaces. Guest and staff routes, privacy, lighting, acoustics and materials are considered together. The concept connects the experience of a stay with the identity of the property and everyday maintenance.
Agriturismi, farm stays and B&Bs
Adaptive reuse and renovation of rural buildings and existing accommodation, attentive to local character, guest rooms and shared spaces. We connect hospitality with rural landscapes, courtyards and gardens, considering seasonal use, available resources and practical management.
Restaurants, bars and lounge bars
Interior design and renovation of dining rooms, bar counters and arrival areas. Layouts, seating, light, materials and acoustic comfort respond to different times of day. Service routes and connections to back-of-house areas are coordinated with the operator and relevant specialists.

What do sustainable and regenerative design mean at BIOMA?
Sustainable architecture considers reuse, resources, material durability and maintenance. Biophilic design addresses light, air, perception and the relationship with nature. Regenerative architecture guides decisions on soil, water and biodiversity towards objectives to be checked over time, not benefits assumed in advance.
Which deliverables and activities are included?
The agreed route determines the deliverables: priorities through consulting, concepts and scenarios through Sprint, and developed design and technical documents through Complete. Permission applications, specialist services, construction supervision and instrumental testing are not automatically included; the proposal defines their scope, responsibilities and exclusions.
What does a biophilic architecture consultation cover?
