Agriturismi and rural stays
For rural accommodation, we explore reuse of existing buildings and connections with courtyards, gardens and the wider landscape. Seasonal opening, care requirements and the operator's brief inform the design.
Dining spaces and terraces
Restaurant interiors and outdoor dining areas bring seating, shade, acoustics and service routes together. We coordinate the design with the operational requirements and specialist contributions agreed for the project.

We assess what can be retained, repaired or adapted before proposing replacements. Daylight, summer shade, durable finishes and maintainable details connect guest comfort with the resources needed to care for the property.
Biophilic design develops relationships with nature through views, materials, light and access to outdoor spaces. In Mediterranean gardens, water-conscious design and drought-tolerant planting respond to soil, exposure and water availability. Establishment watering and long-term care are considered from the outset.
Where measurable outcomes are part of the brief, we agree objectives and a method of verification. Any forecast of environmental performance is distinguished from results observed after completion.

BIOMA is based in Albano Laziale, near Rome, and works throughout Italy. Stefano Bocci leads the design and is your point of reference. Meetings and project documentation are available in English.
The commission can cover the whole project or selected interiors, gardens and terraces. After an initial conversation, we agree whether a site visit or a paid consultation would help define the work. The proposal then sets out stages, drawings, fees, responsibilities and specialist input. Permission applications and construction supervision are included only where explicitly appointed.

Planning your hospitality project

Can we commission only interiors or outdoor spaces?
Yes. A focused design commission can cover guest rooms, reception, a dining area, a terrace or a garden. A complete design can connect the spaces included in the brief. We define the stages and deliverables before the appointment.
Can we work with BIOMA from outside Italy?
Yes. Stefano Bocci is your English-speaking architect and design contact. Meetings and project documentation are available in English. Site visits and any local specialist contributions are planned around the location and agreed scope.
Can we discuss a property before buying it?
Yes. Share its location, available plans and your intended use. An initial conversation helps identify the information needed for the next step. A site visit or paid consultation can then be agreed; any technical investigations or permission applications require an explicit scope.
What should we send with our first enquiry?
Tell us where the property is, whether you own it, the intended accommodation type, the areas to change and your preferred timing. An approximate works budget, photographs and plans help us assess the brief. We then discuss the appropriate next step and explain any fee in advance.
