Studio / Biophilic and regenerative architecture

BIOMA is a rooted vision,
and a system able
to evolve

BIOMA is an architecture studio founded by Stefano Bocci in Albano Laziale, near Rome. We integrate architecture, interiors and landscape for homes, workplaces, hospitality and restaurants, through sustainable and biophilic design informed by regenerative intentions.

01Direction

One direction, many perspectives

We hold together what design
often separates

Space, landscape, material, comfort, use and impact are not independent chapters. BIOMA reads them as parts of the same habitat.

Stefano Bocci leads each commission and brings in the expertise it requires. The client keeps one clear point of reference while the project gains specialist perspectives.

A home to renovate, a workplace to rethink, a hotel or restaurant to design: each calls for a different response. We work with individuals, families, businesses and operators, connecting aspirations, uses, budget and site conditions.

Sustainable architecture guides decisions on reuse, materials, resources and durability. Biophilia concerns relationships between people and nature; regeneration remains an intention translated into relevant objectives and checks, not an outcome assumed in advance.

Stefano Bocci

Architecture and landscape,
within the same vision

Stefano Bocci is an architect and garden designer. Since 2018 he has studied biophilia and regenerative design, exploring the relationships between built space, nature and everyday life.

He founded BIOMA in 2025 to turn this research into a design system able to coordinate sensitivity, expertise and evidence.

He leads each commission from the first question to design decisions, coordinating research, expertise and verification while preserving a direct relationship with the client.

Before developing the design, he agrees priorities, scope and review stages with the client. Alternatives are explained clearly, and the responsibilities of the professionals involved remain explicit.

An augmented design system

Sensitivity, expertise and data,
under one direction

BIOMA uses digital tools and artificial intelligence to broaden research, comparison and documentation.

Decisions remain human, reasoned and proportionate to the project. Technology supports the process rather than taking its place.

01

Human sensitivity

Listening gives meaning to data and keeps design close to people.

02

Expertise

Each discipline enters when needed, with a clear role and responsibility.

03

Data and evidence

Observations become priorities, decisions and understandable forms of verification.

04

Artificial intelligence

It broadens research, comparison and documentation without replacing professional judgement.

People and expertise

The team grows
from the project

BIOMA brings together complementary professionals. Each commission activates the expertise it needs while maintaining clear direction and responsibility.

The working team is defined for each project. Expertise represented in the network does not mean that the corresponding service is included in every appointment.

What guides decisions

Principles that enter
the project

01

Life before form

We begin with people, uses and living systems, then seek the form able to support them.

02

The place sets the rules

Climate, light, memory, resources and constraints become design material.

03

Nature enters the system

Planting, water, soil and biodiversity take part in decisions rather than decoration.

04

Every choice remains legible

Objectives, evidence and responsibilities are documented throughout the process.

05

Design continues through use

We consider care and adaptation; where agreed, we observe use and learn from available results.

A clear point of contact, including at a distance

Based near Rome,
attentive to every place

We work throughout Italy and consider commissions elsewhere in Europe. Site visits, remote reviews and coordination with local professionals are organised around the needs of each project.
