A conversation that does not interrupt focused work, a meeting with remote participants, an entrance that welcomes clients and colleagues. These situations guide the arrangement of workstations, meeting rooms, informal spaces and break areas, without imposing one model on every organisation.
What we read
Interior design and comfort
Lighting, acoustics, materials and furniture contribute to the same experience. The design connects business identity with everyday use, coordinating building services requirements and specialist input within the appointment.
Nature and break areas
Views, daylight, planting and access to terraces or gardens, where available, inform the design from the outset. Species, placement and maintenance are assessed against the actual conditions of the space.
Materials, resources and living systems
Sustainable offices: resources, adaptability and care
Sustainable design considers reuse of spaces and furniture, material durability, repairability and future adaptation. Biophilic design connects people with nature without automatically promising productivity, health or stress reduction. Where soil, water and biodiversity are within scope, regenerative intentions become context-specific objectives. Any evaluation requires indicators, baseline data and an agreed method.

QuickScan reads your workplace in use, with up to 50 workstations, and tells you what already supports the work, where things get in the way, and where to begin. It does not assess people: it reads the space and how it is used.

From spatial diagnosis to design direction
New premises, relocation and refurbishment of occupied offices call for different approaches. We begin with needs, constraints and budget to agree stages, deliverables, responsibilities and exclusions. QuickScan provides an initial assessment, in person or remotely, for one location with up to 50 workstations.
Complete begins with brief and concept; you can stop after this first stage or continue with design and the delivery activities included in the appointment. Project phasing takes required business continuity into account.

Questions about your office project
01How much does office design cost?
It depends on size and complexity. The design fee is calculated as a percentage of the cost of the works and is set out in the proposal, after a free first conversation. If you would like to start with a small step, QuickScan for offices and studios with up to 50 workstations costs 750 euro.
02Can we make changes without stopping work?
We assess this together. We plan stages and priorities around your office calendar; what can be done while the office remains open depends on the type of work.
03We rent our office: does it still make sense?
Yes. Many changes do not affect walls or building services: workstation layout, light, acoustics, furniture and planting. We design what the landlord agrees to or what you can take with you.
04Do you involve the people who work in the office?
Only if the company wants us to, through a short anonymous questionnaire. Results are always reported collectively, never by individual.
05We just want more planting in the office: do you offer that too?
Yes, as part of a design project: we decide where planting makes sense alongside light, acoustics and the layout of the space. We do not supply or rent plants.

Available plans, attendance patterns, timing and an indicative budget help frame the first conversation. BIOMA is based near Rome, works across Italy and considers commissions elsewhere in Europe. Meetings and project documentation are available in English.
