This page documents a project at the design stage stage. Images and data describe design decisions, not outcomes observed after completion.

What this project illustrates

Residential interior design: studying light, materials and visual continuity for an urban home. The page presents a design direction, not a completed renovation or measured outcomes in use.

01 / THE PROJECT

The home regains continuity without losing its sense of refuge

Casa Trionfale interprets urban living as a sequence of different conditions: open spaces for sharing, more enclosed thresholds for slowing down and green views that accompany the eye.

The layout connects the living room, kitchen and outdoor views while keeping each function recognisable. Light, materials and planting build continuity across the rooms.

02 / READING THE PLACE

Each room remains recognisable and contributes to a shared habitat

The living area connects lounge, kitchen and views through wide openings and long sightlines. Functions remain distinct but form one domestic landscape.

The existing parquet runs across the rooms. Timber, mineral surfaces, fabrics and warm light introduce tactile variation, while planting marks thresholds and draws the interior closer to the trees outside.

Continuity does not mean uniformity: each room keeps its own rhythm

03 / DESIGN CHOICES

Each choice supports a gesture, a rhythm and a way of living

A small set of recurring principles is adjusted to each room, creating continuity while preserving different domestic conditions.

  1. 01
    Connected but distinct rooms

Openings and sightlines bring shared areas together without erasing their different uses.

  2. 02
    Warm, tactile materials

Timber, mineral surfaces, soft textiles and matt finishes give each room a clear sensory character.

  3. 03
    Green views

Planting and framed views extend the presence of trees and seasonal change into the home.

  4. 04
    Degrees of refuge

More enclosed rooms and thresholds allow people to move between social life and quieter moments.

04 / EVERYDAY LIVING

Comfort begins with the possibility of choosing how to inhabit each room

The project builds concrete conditions for everyday wellbeing: visual continuity, comfortable light, contact with natural materials and a choice between openness and enclosure.
